Do you want to meet the faces
behind The Good Translator?
Well, here we are! This is Ana Barrueso and Vanesa Gutiérrez.
We met at university, where we both studied Translation and Interpreting. From the beginning, our shared interests made us get on very well and, before we knew it, we were already very good friends. However, it was not until we started collaborating on different group projects that we realized what a great translating team we are. We have a very similar working philosophy and a great kinship, although our true strength as a team lies in our differences, which ensure that all the projects we embark on have the best of each of us.
When we finished our BA, the collaborations spread onto the professional level, and a couple years after graduating, already with much clearer ideas about what we wanted, we decided the time had come to join forces and take the plunge into entrepreneurship. It was then when we decided to create The Good Translator, a small business devoted to translating different types of texts from English and French into Spanish.
Our curious and self-taught nature made us venture into building it all up —web included— from zero and, in due time, The Good Translator went from being a simple idea to a full-on reality.
